Chase Fit is a walking scheme aimed to increase the physical activity of the population of the Cannock Chase district through walking in our Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Cannock Chase, and other open spaces. Chase Fit is run by Wigan Culture Leisure Trust based at Cannock Leisure Centre and aim to offer a wide range of walks that suit everyones needs and requirements. Under Chase Fit with the support of Cannock Chase Council we are launching a Walking for Health Grade 2 walk every Monday morning from the Pavilion in Hednesford Park as part of the Chase Fit Walking Scheme. If you would like to join us please meet us at the Pavilion to sign in at 9.15am, we leave promptly at 9.30am. If you have a health issue, please consult your doctor first. PrintWalking for Health grade 1 walks
These are suitable for people who have not been very active or have not walked
much before, are looking to be more active, or are returning from injury or illness.
They are up to 30 minutes on flat ground or gentle slopes with mainly firm surfaces
and no steps or stiles.

Walking for Health grade 2 walks
These are suitable for people who are looking to increase their activity levels.
They are between 30 – 60 minutes and may include some moderate slopes,
steps, uneven surfaces and possibly stiles.
Walking for Health grade 3 walks
These are for people looking fowfh_grade3_rgb_teal_lowres_v_Variation_1r more challenging walks and/or seeking to increase their level of physical activity. They are generally 45 – 90 minutes and may include steeper slopes, steps, uneven
surfaces and stiles.
